Facebookers Anonymous
Okay, fine. My name is Lindsay Hildebrandt, and I am addicted to Facebook.I just wanted to try it once, to see what it felt like. I'd heard it was pretty fun. And I thought I could stop whenever I wanted to. And now - in just a few short weeks - I'm logging on daily... And thinking back wistfully to my days of innocence.

oooooooh, Laurie told me about Facebook, apparently she spends some time there... I am scared to go look... I have an addictive nature!
I am not regularly a person who falls at the mercy of most pop culture fads but I too decided to "check it out" and I am completely addicted. I really don't know what the obsession is but I quite enjoy it. It's like a self-esteem boost everytime I find a new "friend." Perhaps I should be posting this anonymously to hide my addiction but at this point in my life I will admit to my addictions.
Be careful though. My daughter and her co-workers (a national company) started one...yeah..you can just imagine..the bosses found it....actually wanted everyone involved fired on the spot but that would leave no one to run the business!!! But yeah...be warned..the internet is open to anyone. The crazy thing is they weren't dumping on the bosses, they were dumping on the customers they serve. Guess the bosses must have government connections.
(oops...just realized I used 3 exclamation marks...sorry Lins)
I think that's pretty true of the internet in general. People sometimes forget that the internet is an absolutely public place. I'm always kind of aware - in the back of my mind - that a couple of clicks and a visit to Google could bring any client to this site.
