Have you read the whole Outlander series by Diana Gabladon? I just bought the last one about 2 months ago and I'm going to reread the series. It's one of my favorites! There are so many books on that list that I need to read and I have not nearly enough time in my life.

Funny you should ask...

Two years ago when I had my jaw broken, some of my 'media buddies' in NYC put together a care package for me - pyjamas, Bath & Body Works goodies, and a whole pile of books. The books were (you guessed it) the complete Outlander series.

Now, I don't like really long books. And I don't like historical anything. And so - while I appreciate the writing, etc. - the series is NOT my cup of tea. But I was forced to read every single book, because I knew they'd ask if I read them. Not only that, but when the last book came out, I had to buy it and read it too, because I knew they'd ask... And I didn't want to lie. They ended up being okay, just not my thing at all.

And my plan worked magnificently. When they called and asked eagerly, 'Did you like them?' - I could answer with total honesty: 'Like them? I read them cover to cover, and then went out and bought the last one!'

:)

Hmmm, Nancy Drew seems to be absent from that list ;)

Thanks for the recommendation, Crystal! I will update my list accordingly.

And Geoff, if they added Nancy Drew books to the list, they would take up all the spots - so it was really just a matter of efficiency. OBVIOUSLY, they are the best books ever. You're just mad because you fear they will one day take over the shelf space currently dedicated to your collection of transforming little friends... Mwaaaahaha...

(that was an evil laugh, in case it wasn't clear)

:)
