A quick update on my mom, because so many people have been asking...She's doing much better, but the doctors have decided that it's time for her port to come out. That will be happening this afternoon. Hopefully - if all goes well - there won't be any real delay with her final chemo treatment (currently scheduled for October 17). The only catch is that they'll need to do it by IV.
Thank you all so much for all your support and encouragement. My family needs it right now, and it's not something that any of us take for granted. We're blessed to have so many incredible people like you in our lives.

So glad to hear this. Sounds like she hasn't had much good news in the last couple of weeks; this must be a a very welcome development. Thankfully it's the last chemo treatment.
